In a playful competition, the once-married couple texted Tori Keeth at the same time to see who she would respond to first.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo\u2019s company, three\u2019s a crowd,\u201d according to many \u2014 but\u00a0Katie Maloney\u00a0and\u00a0Tom Schwartz\u00a0continue to test the theory in the latest episode of\u00a0Vanderpump Rules.<\/p>\n

The once-married couple came together in Season 11, Episode 13, discussing life after divorce over a few milkshakes at L.A.\u2019s famous Mel\u2019s Drive-In diner. The friendly one-on-one conversation comes after both found themselves in a\u00a0love triangle\u00a0with singer and actress\u00a0Tori Keeth, whom the couple met through\u00a0Scheana Shay.<\/p>\n

But, at least according to what Tom said in his confessional, Katie vying for Tori is a sign of endearment, actually<\/p>\n

How Tom Schwartz felt about kissing same girl as Katie Maloney<\/h2>\n

\u201cI know it\u2019s weird, but I think Katie pursuing a girl that I\u2019ve been hanging out with is her way of saying that \u2018I miss hanging out,\u2019\u201d said Tom. \u201cI think that\u2019s our post-divorce love language.\u201d<\/p>\n

It even became a cordial competition between the two, and a flashback showed Katie and the new woman popping bubbly and enjoying one another\u2019s company just 10 days earlier. When Tom asked about their date, Katie admitted with a smile, \u201cIt was good.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she just likes me more than she likes you,\u201d Katie told her ex.<\/p>\n

Despite winning a \u201ccheeky little peck\u201d from Tori, Tom seemed dubious of the date, although Katie admitted she \u201cgot tongue.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was game on when the exes decided to text Tori at the same time to see who she responded to first. Tom sent his simple greeting just a moment after Katie, but it was Tom who received the first reply just two minutes before his ex-wife.<\/p>\n

Katie rationalized the loss by saying that Tom\u2019s text must have been at the top of Tori\u2019s messages, saying, \u201cShe was just going down the list.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever helps you sleep at night,\u201d Tom joked.<\/p>\n

Are Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney friends?<\/h2>\n

Since finalizing their divorce in 2022, Tom and Katie (finally) seem to be on the same wavelength, as far as\u00a0the dating game\u00a0goes.<\/p>\n

Regarding his recently-paused \u201csituationship\u201d with\u00a0Jo Wenberg, Tom admitted his and Jo\u2019s time together came when Tom was in \u201ca very weird place\u201d in his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always been clear: I don\u2019t wanna date, I don\u2019t wanna have a girlfriend,\u201d Tom told Katie. \u201cWe more or less decided to maybe take a break from hanging out so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom added he felt \u201cso sad\u201d after Jo asked him if he was embarrassed to be seen with her. In Jo\u2019s defense, however, Katie said Tom only had himself to blame because he was so \u201celusive\u201d about their relationship.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Schwartz & Sandy\u2019s\u00a0co-owner asked Katie about where she stood in her current love life, which comes shortly after news broke of\u00a0her hookup\u00a0with Tom\u2019s friend,\u00a0Max Boyens.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am getting to know people, but more in an intentional kind of way,\u201d Katie said. \u201cI have zero expectations with anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s me right now,\u201d Tom replied.<\/p>\n

Tom and Katie\u2019s sit-down is a nice breakaway from the pair\u2019s post-divorce tension, especially since they are on opposite sides in the ongoing war between\u00a0Tom Sandoval\u00a0and\u00a0Ariana Madix.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that I told Tom I wouldn\u2019t see him one-on-one, but there is still part of me that does still want to have some type of friendship with Tom,\u201d Katie told producers. \u201cHaving spent so much time with a person and them just becoming a stranger, I just can\u2019t quite wrap my head around that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie told Tom over lunch that they\u2019d \u201cnever be the same.\u201d However, some habits may die hard, especially since a once-off hookup might be in store for the exes, as seen in the preview for Season 11, Episode 14.<\/p>\n
