Dina Manzo\u00a0isn\u2019t a name you hear very much anymore. Now, though, the former\u00a0Real Housewives of New Jersey\u00a0star is back in the news, but it\u2019s not for being back on TV. Recently, her ex-husband,\u00a0Tommy Manzo, was released from jail on bond after allegedly having her new husband,\u00a0Dave Cantin, assaulted years ago.<\/p>\n

Dina and Tommy got married in 2005, but they were officially divorced by 2016. She appeared on a few seasons of\u00a0RHONJ, starting in 2009. She also had a party planning series called\u00a0Dina\u2019s Party\u00a0on HGTV that lasted for two seasons.<\/p>\n

Many people know that in 2015, Tommy allegedly hired a member of the mob to beat up Dina\u2019s then-boyfriend. Of course, this wouldn\u2019t have been long after Dina and Tommy had broken up. Apparently, he offered the attacker a discount on a wedding venue to attack David.<\/p>\n

According to reports, Tommy wanted the alleged mobster to leave a \u201cpermanent facial scar\u201d on Dina\u2019s new boyfriend.<\/p>\n

Tommy was indicted\u00a0in 2020, and the attacker was arrested the same year. Now, according to the\u00a0NY Post,\u00a0Tommy is out on a $100,000 bond as he waits for his trial, which includes racketeering charges. If all goes as planned, the trial will begin in May.<\/p>\n

As is normal protocol, Tommy had to surrender his passport, and he can\u2019t travel outside of New York and New Jersey. Notably, the\u00a0charges against Tommy\u00a0were previously dropped due to multiple delays. However, he was reindicted on the same charges.<\/p>\n

Dina\u2019s ex-husband also has charges stemming from 2017 when he and another man allegedly invaded Dina and David\u2019s home. At the time, he hit David with a baseball bat, punched Dina in the face, and stole a $60,000 ring from her.<\/p>\n

This assault caused Tommy to be charged with aggravated assault, burglary, criminal restraint, and more. These charges are still pending. There is a scheduled hearing on April 29.<\/p>\n
