<\/p>\nBrittany Cartwright is spilling more tea on why her marriage to Jax Taylor cooled down.<\/p>\n

During her first appearance on \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d in four years Tuesday night, she told her former co-star and pal Scheana Shay that she and Taylor constantly fought over money once she started making more.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know whenever me and Jax were going through that where I was making more money for once, I could tell that was a shift for him,\u201d she said. \u201cWe were fighting a lot because of that alone.\u201d Her revelation came after she asked Shay, 38, if \u201cbeing the breadwinner\u201d caused strife in her marriage to Brock Davies, to which she replied it did.<\/p>\n Theorizing about both of their husbands, Cartwright added, \u201cI think because they are such manly men, that can be something even if they don\u2019t express it.\u201d The former Hooters waitress, 35, shared a similar sentiment during Tuesday\u2019s \u201cVanderpump Rules After Show,\u201d explaining that \u201cthe roles kind of flipped\u201d for her and Taylor after they stepped back from the hit Bravo series in 2020.<\/p>\n \u201cI was definitely making more money,\u201d she noted. \u201cI can tell it hurt Jax\u2019s ego.\u201d The pair have several streams of income aside from reality television.<\/p>\n Taylor, 44, claimed on \u201cHouse of Villains\u201d (via Business Insider) in 2023 that his estranged wife made $2 million from her recent partnership with Jenny Craig when she dropped more than 40 pounds after welcoming their son, Cruz, in 2021.<\/p>\n However, rather than sounding jealous of her earnings, he gloated that his wife \u201ccrushes it.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, he claimed to have made about $450,000 on Cameo by sending personalized videos to fans.<\/p>\n Together, they own a sports bar called Jax\u2019s Studio City and run a podcast named \u201cWhen Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany.\u201d Plus, their newest reality show, \u201cThe Valley,\u201d premiered in March. While money appears to have been a major factor in the demise of the reality stars\u2019 relationship, it wasn\u2019t the only issue.<\/p>\n The mother of one previously claimed their sexless marriage and Taylor\u2019s alleged unwillingness to make any changes led to their split. She also accused him of acting like a toddler during a chat with People earlier this month.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m taking care of my toddler, and I\u2019m also taking care of another toddler named Jax Taylor, because I basically do everything for the household,\u201d she complained.<\/p>\n Cartwright announced their split on her and Taylor\u2019s podcast in February.<\/p>\n \u201cYes, marriages in general are very hard and I\u2019ve had a particularly rough year this past year,\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cJax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.\u201d<\/p>\n In March, they denied that infidelity was at the root of their separation.<\/p>\n The pair have not mentioned anything about divorce.<\/p>\n Brittany Cartwright is spilling more tea on why her marriage to Jax Taylor cooled down.
