The\u00a0Southern Charm<\/em>-er gave an exciting status update on the bar he’s opening with his castmate this year.<\/p>\n

Craig Conover\u00a0and\u00a0Austen Kroll’s\u00a0new Charleston bar, By the Way,\u00a0is coming along.<\/p>\n

On April 23, Craig reposted an Instagram Story from Keith Benjamin, the Co-Founder of Uptown Hospitality Group. “Heck ya,” the\u00a0Southern Charm<\/em>\u00a0cast member wrote in a caption on the photo, which showed the bar in the midst of construction.<\/p>\n

The update comes more than two months after\u00a0Craig and Austen shared a look at the building process\u00a0at the forthcoming venue.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s demo day!!!\u201d Craig captioned a February 8 Instagram Story. \u201c[By the Way] is on its way!\u2026 This is going to be so much fun.\u00a0Another place in Charleston\u00a0to share with all of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe demo days of early spring are upon us!\u201d Austen added in a separate Story. \u201cCan\u2019t wait to share more updates as the space takes shape.\u201d<\/p>\n

Details on Craig and Austen’s Charleston bar, By the Way<\/h2>\n

In January, the\u00a0Southern Charm<\/em>\u00a0castmates\u00a0talked to\u00a0ET<\/em> about the in-progress “neighborhood tavern,” explaining they wanted to “create a space where locals and travelers could hang out together and enjoy the neighborhood.”<\/p>\n

“It’s going to be a really intimate space,” Craig said. “We put a lot of thought into the design to try and make it as warm and inviting as possible. We\u2019re leaning into the local, upscale, tavern vibes, so the menu is going to have elevated bar fare and approachable cocktails.”<\/p>\n

Austen added: “What I envision is a place where you come for a drink before dinner, let’s say, lose track of time and before you know it, hours have passed and all of a sudden, you’re surrounded by all your friends…It’s going to be a place you can come and sit for a while.”<\/p>\n

This is Craig and Austen’s second hospitality venture together. In 2023, they worked alongside a team of restaurant pros to open\u00a0Carriage House in New York City’s West Village neighborhood.\u00a0\u201cY\u2019all it\u2019s happening,”\u00a0Austen declared at the time. “My long-anticipated opening of my first foray into the restaurant business.\u201d<\/p>\n
