I like this length,\u201d Hough said as she continued cutting both sides shorter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the new way, guys. You come in and you cut your own hair. Well, at least I don\u2019t second guess and I just go for it,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\">\n<div class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image__wrapper\">\n<p>Hough then stood up and showed off her shoulder-length \u201cseven-minute haircut\u201d along with her white turtle neck sweater and nude trousers.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSafe Haven\u201d actress took to the caption to share how her new look reflects her latest \u201cseason in life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOut with the old energy, and in with the new,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that it had been \u201craining so hard\u201d earlier in the day before \u201cthe sun was shining and there was a double rainbow,\u201d symbolizing \u201ccleansing\u201d and \u201cprosperity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt made me start to think about the seasons of life, and the decisions we make as we progress,\u201d Hough continued. \u201cHair is such an outward expression of what those decisions are . . . of the internal journeys that we go through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just felt like it was the right time to cut off some of the old energy and start fresh,\u201d the professional dancer concluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<div id=\"connatix-outstream-video\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New year, new hair.
