<\/p>\nTom Sandoval\u00a0is responding to\u00a0Rachel “Raquel” Leviss\u2019 revenge porn lawsuit amid the ongoing fallout of\u00a0Scandoval.<\/p>\n

In legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, attorneys for the\u00a0Vanderpump Rules<\/em>\u00a0star, 41, claim the lawsuit \u201cis a thinly veiled attempt to extend [Leviss\u2019] fame and to rebrand herself as the victim instead of the other woman.\u201d<\/p>\n The filing alleges that Leviss, 29, is also \u201cdenigrating her former friend\u201d\u00a0Ariana Madix\u00a0as a \u201cscorned woman\u201d and \u201cher former paramour\u201d Sandoval as \u201cpredatory.\u201d<\/p>\n The attorneys claim since November 2023, Leviss has \u201cactively maintained a provocative podcast,\u00a0Rachel Goes Rogue<\/em>, to further bend the narrative to her will.\u201d<\/p>\n Furthermore, the legal response alleges that Leviss\u2019 claims against Sandoval \u201care based on her allegation that [he] surreptitiously recorded two videos of [her] \u2018in a state of undress and masturbating\u2019 during their less-than-discrete public affair.\u201d<\/p>\n The attorneys counter that allegation, claiming, \u201cThese videos were\u00a0created<\/em>\u00a0by Leviss and\u00a0published<\/em>\u00a0by Leviss to Sandoval via a consensual exchange on FaceTime\u2026 Based on Leviss\u2019 own allegations, Sandoval merely saved private copies of the videos that Leviss filmed and shared with him.\u201d<\/p>\n The attorneys are requesting Leviss\u2019 lawsuit either be dismissed or amended.<\/p>\n PEOPLE has reached out to Leviss’ lawyers for comment.<\/p>\n In February 2024, Leviss\u00a0sued\u00a0Sandoval and Madix, 38, for eavesdropping,\u00a0revenge porn\u00a0and invasion of privacy.<\/p>\n The document obtained by PEOPLE at the time claimed that the events of\u00a0Scandoval\u00a0“captured the public’s attention in a massive way” and went viral in a way that “caused mayhem in Leviss’s life” in the form of months-long voluntary\u00a0treatment at a mental health facility\u00a0and her\u00a0eventual departure\u00a0from the show.<\/p>\n In conjunction with Bravo, Evolution Media and the rest of the\u00a0Vanderpump Rules<\/em>\u00a0cast, Leviss stated that she was subjected to a public skewering” and became “one of the most hated women in America.<\/p>\n In March 2023, Leviss and Sandoval\u00a0made headlines\u00a0after Madix allegedly discovered explicit videos of Leviss amid her\u00a0nine-year relationship with Sandoval. The news of the duo’s months-long affair not only rocked Bravo fans but also became a pop cultural juggernaut of epic proportions.<\/p>\n Leviss claimed in the lawsuit that she was a “victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man” who filmed sexually explicit videos “without her knowledge or consent.” She further claims that the recordings were “distributed, disseminated, and discussed publicly by a scorned woman [Madix] seeking vengeance.”<\/p>\n The events led her to seek help in a facility while “Bravo, Evolution, and the cast milked the interest her excoriation had peaked.”<\/p>\n Amid the fallout, the lawsuit claims that the\u00a0Rachel Goes Rogue<\/em>\u00a0host was “misled” by Bravo and Evolution into believing she was “contractually barred from speaking out about her mistreatment.” It alleges that Leviss “suffered in silence” as a result while other parties involved with Scandoval reaped “unseen levels of public recognition and professional opportunity.”<\/p>\n The documents continue, “Meanwhile, Leviss, who was humiliated and villainized for public consumption, remains a shell of her former self, with her career prospects stunted and her reputation in tatters.”<\/p>\n In addition to compensatory, special, general and consequential damages, Leviss is seeking that Madix and Sandoval cease distribution and destroy all copies made of the alleged explicit video.
