The \u201cBachelorette\u201d alum channeled the \u201cLittle Mermaid\u201d star during\u00a0\u201cDisney100 Night\u201d on \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d\u00a0Tuesday, and couldn\u2019t help herself from fangirling over the actress while chatting with Page Six in the ballroom.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf she somehow responds to me [and my dance], I will film my reaction and, like, post it for the world to see,\u201d a giddy Lawson gushed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u00a0love<\/em>\u00a0her! So it would mean everything [if she sees it]. I would actually probably like pass away.\u201d<\/p>\n Lawson and her pro partner,\u00a0Artem Chigvintsev, performed a beautiful waltz to \u201cPart of Your World\u201d Tuesday night, receiving a combined score of 24\/30 from judges Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.<\/p>\n The reality star told us that while she was always a big fan of \u201cThe Little Mermaid\u201d growing up, seeing Bailey\u00a0portray Ariel\u00a0in the 2023 live-action film meant \u201ceverything\u201d to her.<\/p>\n \u201cAs you get older, you become more aware. It\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, the princesses that I love, or these characters that I love, they don\u2019t necessarily look like me.\u2019 So you kind of like crave that,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cI loved \u2018The Little Mermaid\u2019 growing up, but the most recent remake with Halle, that\u2019s truly when I just found like a deeper connection with this movie,\u201d she continued, calling the opportunity to channel Bailey an \u201chonor.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI just wanted to put out a performance that I was gonna be proud of, that also people at home watching \u2013 little girls or just girls that look like me \u2013 to watch it and be like, \u2018Yeah, this is a possibility.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Lawson also told us that it was \u201cso fun\u201d working with the \u201cDWTS\u201d wardrobe, hair and makeup teams on a look that \u201ctruly embodied\u201d the iconic Disney princess.<\/p>\n \u201cThey went all out!\u201d she marveled. \u201cI just can\u2019t thank them enough, because they really do work so hard and they make every vision come to life perfectly.\u201d<\/p>\n Lawson and Chigvintsev will take on \u201cMost Memorable Year Night\u201d next week, where they\u2019ll perform a routine inspired by a specific year that was life-changing for the \u201cBachelor\u201d alum.<\/p>\n \u201cIt will be hard not to have emotion,\u201d she teased. \u201cI\u2019m really excited \u2026 it\u2019s going to be beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Bailey was making a splash of her own in London Tuesday night, stepping out to the 2023 Glamour Women of The Year Awards with her\u00a0rapper beau DDG.<\/p>\n The Chloe x Halle songstress rocked a short velvet Nicole + Felicia dress from the designer\u2019s spring\/summer 2024 evening collection with a vibrant red lip and strappy black heels.<\/p>\n She completed the glam look with a stunning diamond necklace, matching bracelet and shoulder-grazing diamond earrings.<\/p>\n harity Lawson wants to be a part of Halle Bailey\u2019s world.
