<\/p>\nA contestant from \u201cThe Golden Bachelor\u201d is upset by Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist\u2019s split after just three months of marriage, but it\u2019s not for the reason you may think.<\/p>\n
In an April 2024 interview with Us Weekly, contestant Susan Noles said the failed marriage \u201cruined\u201d her personal marital record. Noles famously officiated the couple\u2019s TV wedding on January 4, 2024. \u201cThey ruined my marriage thing,\u201d Noles told the outlet in reference to the \u201cGolden Bachelor\u201d breakup. \u201cI mean, I had no divorces. My record was perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n

The outlet shared that when Noles was asked if she was \u201csurprised\u2019 by the split news, she playfully zipped her lips.<\/p>\n

Susan Noles Was Happy to Officiate the TV Wedding of Her \u2018Ex\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n Noles owns an Aston, Pennsylvania-based wedding business called Nuptials By Noles. Her officiant business offers a \u201cfresh take on traditional ceremonies: weddings, vow renewals, and baptisms,\u201d per the company\u2019s Facebook page.<\/p>\n While Noles was in the running to win Turner\u2019s heart, she was sent home in Week 5. Soon after, she told Access Hollywood she hoped to officiate Turner\u2019s future wedding to one of her competitors. \u201cNo matter who he chooses I want to marry them because I\u2019m an officiant,\u201d she told the outlet in November 2023. \u201cWhen I got out of the limousine and said, \u2018Gerry I\u2019m gonna marry you,\u2019 I walked over and I explained that I\u2019m an officiant, I do that for a living.\u201d<\/p>\n In a separate interview, Noles noted that Turner and Nist later approached her to officiate their live TV wedding. \u201cThe happy couple came up with the idea because we became so close during the show,\u201d Noles told Glamour in an interview. \u201cGerry\u2019s my buddy and now Theresa is my girlfriend, so why not?\u201d<\/p>\n While she\u2019s bummed about the couple\u2019s breakup, Noles told Us Weekly that her wedding business has \u201ctaken off\u201d since her Bachelor Nation ceremony aired on ABC. Noles, 67, did not share how many wedding services she has officiated, but she has been in business for more than a decade, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.<\/p>\n Susan Noles Asked Fans to Be Kind to Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Following Their Split<\/strong> \u201cTheresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we\u2019ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and \u2014 and we\u2019ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it\u2019s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,\u201d Turner revealed on the ABC morning program.<\/p>\n Nist added, \u201cI don\u2019t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope. We want none of that to change for anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n While the exes have been hit with massive backlash from \u201cBachelor\u201d fans who felt they were bamboozled, Noles asked fans to have compassion.
