Eva Marcille revealed to Tamron Hall that her slimmed-down appearance resulted from her split from Michael Sterling.<\/p>\n

During her appearance on Tuesday\u2019s episode of the \u201cTamron Hall Show,\u201d Tamron Hall brought up the fact that the former model was forced to turn off her comments on social media because people wouldn\u2019t stop talking about her weight loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went through a divorce last year. Anyone that\u2019s ever been through a divorce knows that divorce is hard. It\u2019s like the stomach flu \u2014 you will be skinny afterward,\u201d the 39-year-old explained.\"Eva<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you drop a 200-pound person, you\u2019re gonna drop at least 30 pounds,\u201d the former \u201cReal Housewives of Atlanta\u201d star added. \u201cSo for me, I lost weight just naturally going through life.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also made light of the situation, saying that she \u201cthought\u201d she looked cute when posing at The Beverly Hill Hotel in August 2023, which is the photo that prompted the buzz.<\/p>\n

Marcille, 39, also gave further insight into her split, saying that her divorce had been finalized just weeks before she posted those pictures.\"Eva<\/p>\n

The \u201cAll the Queen\u2019s Men\u201d star said she felt \u201cdepressed\u201d before and during the divorce, which led her on a journey to \u201crediscover\u201d who she really is.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not the wife anymore. I\u2019m not someone\u2019s someone,\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019m someone\u2019s mom, but if I took the mom away, if I took \u2018Madam\u2019 (her character in \u201cAll the Queen\u2019s Men\u201d) away, if I look \u2018Top Model\u2019 away, like, who is Eva? Who am I? And making sure I prioritize knowing that character and building that character.\u201d\"Eva<\/p>\n

Marcille further said that she thought Sterling was her \u201cforever\u201d person and was heartbroken when things didn\u2019t work out.<\/p>\n

Having to navigate that heartbreak while simultaneously dealing with \u201cmean\u201d comments about her body made the healing process so much harder.\"Eva<\/p>\n

\u201cThe words hurt,\u201d she said. \u201cWhat I can say is, though I will be positive, I will find my cup half full, always \u2014 it still hurts.\u201d<\/p>\n

The model filed for divorce from Sterling in March, claiming their union was \u201cirretrievably broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Sterling told Page Six that he was \u201cgoing to fight\u201d for their marriage and refused to \u201close [his] wife,\u201d Marcille felt there was \u201cno prospects for a reconciliation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,\u201d she told People at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur children remain our biggest priority, and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple \u2014 who wed in October 2018 \u2014 share sons Michael, almost 6, and Maverick, 4. Marcille is also mom to 10-year-old daughter Marley, whom Sterling gave his last name.<\/p>\n
