<\/p>\nKailyn Lowry is getting real about the importance of educating boys about periods.<\/p>\n

The podcaster mom of seven, 32, has been sharing scenes from a spring break vacation with her four older boys \u2014 Creed, 3\u00bd, and Lux, 6\u00bd, whom she shares with ex Chris Lopez, 10-year-old son Lincoln, whom she shares with ex Javi Marroquin and 14-year-old son Isaac, whom she shares with ex Jo Rivera.<\/p>\n
During the trip, the Teen Mom alum, who has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), unexpectedly got her period. She talked about why it was crucial her four sons know what was up and that the older two could step in to help if needed.<\/p>\n
“Now normally I wouldn’t freak out about this, but I have four of my boys with me by myself. So thankfully, they know what to look for if I were to have a little Aunt Flow emergency. Isaac or Lincoln could go to the store for me and grab something.”<\/p>\n
While Lowry noted she was prepared, knowing that she’s irregular, she’s thankful that, “in the event we were out and about, I would have no shame asking my oldest son to check me because sometimes you just don’t know if you leak through things.”<\/p>\n
In addition to her four older boys, Lowry is also mom to infant twins Verse and Valley and son Rio, 15 months. She shares her three youngest kids with her boyfriend, Elijah Scott. When asked on TikTok about not bringing the little ones on the trip, Lowry explained her choice.<\/p>\n
“We started this spring break tradition about eight years ago and the babies are entirely too young,” she leveled. “They don’t remember anything. If I’ve learned anything from taking Lux and Creed on vacation, it’s that it’s not worth the stress of the other kids.”<\/p>\n
She explained that this time around, “I have a partner who was willing and able to stay home with the babies and make sure that all of their needs are taken care of and I’m able to kind of spend one-on-one time with my older kids, who are able to do a lot more.”<\/p>\n
