Tisha Campbell was approached about making a major pivot to reality television \u2014 but the stars weren\u2019t quite aligned.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Campbell, 55, was asked whether she\u2019d ever consider joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been asked,\u201d Campbell revealed. \u201cBut right now is not the time. I\u2019m not anti, it\u2019s just not the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Martin alum candidly admitted that she likes her privacy a little bit too much to be the latest addition to the Bravo universe.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not as bold to share like that,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cYou have to be bold.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, she gave shout-outs to former reality stars who were able to transition from their roots into bigger and better things.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople like [Basketball Wives star] Tami Roman parlayed it into a different career,\u201d Campbell noted of Roman\u2019s acting career. \u201c[Love & Hip Hop: New York star] Cardi B parlayed it into a different career. I love that. Big ups to anybody who does that.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThere can be downsides. But there can be upsides too. And those two are perfect examples.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campbell also credited NeNe Leakes, who used her Real Housewives of Atlanta fame to nab acting roles on shows like NBC\u2019s The New Normal and a starring role on Broadway as Mama Morton in Chicago.<\/p>\n

Just because Campbell isn\u2019t ready to star on the Real Housewives herself, don\u2019t think she\u2019s not on the couch watching with the rest of us. She noted, \u201cI love a good reality show.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Campbell added, they don\u2019t always go down easy.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes it can leave you feeling like, \u2018I didn\u2019t want to see these people\u2019s business,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cWhereas watching a sitcom, you\u2019re just laughing and it\u2019s a good feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

On that topic, the former My Wife and Kids star recently put her sitcom expertise to good use on the Tuesday, April 30, season 2 finale of NBC\u2019s Lopez vs. Lopez, where she played George Lopez\u2019s therapist Dr. Glenda Brenda.<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved being on that show,\u201d Campbell exclusively told Us about the experience. \u201cI loved working with George. I hadn\u2019t had a chance to work with George in years.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cHe\u2019s so quick on his feet. You have to be quick with him. The ad libs will come, and you have to be ready. He\u2019s just so phenomenal.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
