<\/p>\nSalley Carson, who appeared on Clayton Echard\u2019s season of The Bachelor, will join the cast of Southern Charm season 10, PEOPLE exclusively confirms.<\/p>\n
A Bravo rep did not immediately respond to PEOPLE, though the network typically doesn’t comment on casting.<\/p>\n

Carson, 29, made her mark by infamously exiting The Bachelor before the first night, telling Echard, 31, she didn\u2019t feel right beginning her time on the show on the same weekend she was supposed to get married prior to calling off her engagement.<\/p>\n
\u201cPart of me is being pulled home but I didn’t want to fully come to that decision until I met you,\u201d Carson told Echard when she met him for the first time ahead of limo arrivals. \u201cAnd you’re really good-looking. I’ve heard nothing but great things about you. I feel weird being here the weekend of my wedding.”<\/p>\n
The former football player threw a Hail Mary by offering her a rose to stay.<\/p>\n
“I want to accept that rose,” Carson said to Echard. “My heart is just not in the place where I can. And I feel so bad about that. My heart is just not ready.”<\/p>\n
Carson went on to appear on Bachelor in Paradise, where she also didn\u2019t last long.<\/p>\n
After delaying her flight to Mexico to \u201ctake care of some things with work,\u201d as she told host Jesse Palmer, some of the other contestants suspected Carson had actually been hanging out with her ex-fianc\u00e9 prior to coming onto BiP and confronted her about that. Carson owned up to having spoken to her ex just before leaving for Mexico, and decided that, “out of respect” for him, she would leave.<\/p>\n
“I’m too real for this s—,” Carson asserted.<\/p>\n
Carson’s pivot to Bravo comes after she moved back to her native South Carolina in 2022. \u201cHappy to be calling SC home again,\u201d the reality star wrote on Instagram in March 2022.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, Carson purchased her first home in Charleston.<\/p>\n

Following her return to Charleston, Carson appeared on Southern Hospitality, where she hit it off with Joe Bradley. But things got messy when she lied about kissing TJ Dinch\u2019s roommate Gaston before going on a date with Bradley, 28. Eventually, Carson owned up to the kiss and apologized to Bradley, but their relationship didn\u2019t work out. Bradley went on to date Summer House\u2019s Danielle Olivera, and Gaston is seeing Southern Charm\u2019s Taylor Ann Green.
\nSeason 9 of Southern Charm centered around the fallout between Green, 29, and Olivia Flowers after Green kissed 32-year-old Flowers\u2019 ex Austen Kroll following her breakup with Kroll\u2019s close friend Shep Rose. Green and Kroll, 36, tried to keep their kiss a secret, which made things even worse when it did come out.<\/p>\n
During the season 9 reunion, Flowers declared that she didn\u2019t see a path forward to repairing her friendship with Green.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is not happening,\u201d Flowers declared, saying to Green, \u201cI will not be friends with you, but I\u2019m not going to make this miserable for you, I\u2019m not going to be negative. We can move forward, that doesn\u2019t necessarily mean together.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rose, 44, and Kroll\u2019s friendship has also cooled. \u201cI\u2019ll give him a big hug and I\u2019ll support him in everything that he does, but just as far as the day-to-day banter, it is not where it was at all,\u201d Rose said on a February episode of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright\u2019s When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany podcast. \u201cAnd that\u2019s OK. Maybe one day it will be.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Lowering the Bar author stated all of his costars have the \u201cright\u201d to their opinions. But as a result, \u201cI just thought, I’m going to take a step back from certain relationships and give it air,\u201d Rose said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don’t want to kill them, I\u2019m just not going to water the plant for a little bit. I\u2019m only going to water plants that produce beauty on my end or beauty around me or love.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rose suggested that resuming filming for season 10 might help repair relationships among the cast.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe funny thing is, we\u2019ll get filming again if and when it comes back, and it’ll be interesting to see us build our new normal. You know?\u201d he told the Vanderpump Rules alums. \u201cAnd I know you guys can attest to this, the show can be the best therapist in the world sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n
