Patrick Mahomes is well on his way to being among the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, and the Kansas City Chiefs star broke down some of his inspirations on the\u00a0IMPAULSIVE<\/i>\u00a0podcast on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Mahomes listed Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford among others as his biggest quarterback inspirations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
“I looked at Tom [Brady] and his pocket movement, because even though he’s not the fastest guy, he moves around the pocket and gets himself in a place to throw,” Mahomes said. “I watched Aaron [Rodgers] a lot and I watched Matthew Stafford a lot growing up. And I was a big Cowboys fan\u2014sorry\u2014as I grew up, so I watched Tony Romo a ton too. So those guys can move around, sling the football, but there’s a lot of great quarterbacks and I’m just trying to get on that list as well.”<\/p>\n
