As Bravo fans know,\u00a0Andy Cohen\u00a0invites some of the biggest names in entertainment, sports, politics, and pop culture to be guests on\u00a0Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/em>\u00a0every week. And then there are times he scores an invite to something major (spoiler alert: it’s\u00a0the Met Gala).<\/p>\n

Occasionally on that first Monday in May when the annual charity event takes place, the talk show host mingles with Hollywood A-listers\u00a0outside\u00a0<\/em>the Bravo Clubhouse by attending the Met Gala. While most celebrities receive invites from designers whose fashions they usually wear to fashion\u2019s biggest night,\u00a0Andy’s invitation comes from his good friend, actress\u00a0Sarah Jessica Parker.<\/p>\n

And we have to say, they slay every single time they attend the Met Gala together. We’re reliving some of their most legendary BFF moments at the event with some epic throwback photos.<\/p>\n

Andy has been lucky enough to snag an invite to the spectacle five times by accompanying SJP.\u00a0The duo attended the Met Gala and wore coordinating (on-theme) looks in 2018, 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2011.<\/p>\n

While appearing on\u00a0WWHL<\/em>\u00a0in October 2016, Sarah addressed why she attended the Costume Institute Gala with Andy over her husband, Matthew Broderick.<\/p>\n

“First of all, he’s always doing a play, right? But also, I think he feels like that’s our thing, that’s our special thing,” she told Andy at the time. “He’ll go see it as a civilian.”<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more,\u00a0when\u00a0Andy and Matthew came face-to-face in the Bravo Clubhouse\u00a0in November 2016, viewers wanted to know if the actor was bothered by his wife going to the exclusive event without him. “No, ’cause you love it, right? And you’re great friends,” he said.<\/p>\n

While we\u2019re stating that all of Andy and SJP\u2019s Met Gala designs live in our heads rent-free, the\u00a0Sex and the City<\/i>\u00a0actress declared her look from 2015 was No. 1 in her eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think my favorite is the mohawk. It\u2019s the Philip Treacy headpiece for the punk show,\u201d she told Andy on\u00a0WWHL<\/em>. \u201cAnd that was a Giles Deacon dress.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for\u00a0Andy\u2019s\u00a0top look of SJP\u2019s, he noted that it was\u00a0\u201cthe Oscar De La Renta,\u201d\u00a0referencing her gorgeous black-and-white gown from the 2014 Met Gala. The theme enlisted during that year was Charles James: Beyond Fashion.<\/p>\n

SJP took it back to the 18th century for her 2016 Met Gala look, which was designed by Monse. The\u00a0all-white ensemble\u00a0featured\u00a0a cropped pant and corset jacket with a blush ruffled sleeve peeking out. Andy stunned in a\u00a0suave Ralph Lauren tuxedo.<\/p>\n

Andy and SJP were on fire on the 2015 red carpet as the blonde beauty donned an H&M dress with a fiery red and silver Philip Treacy headpiece. Andy was styled in a classic black tuxedo. The friends even had a cute moment with their matching red brooches.<\/p>\n

The Met Gala maintains a strict policy of keeping their guest list confidential. Typically, the attendees are not announced until the\u00a0day of the event, and sometimes not until moments before the red carpet commences.\u00a0Each year, the Met Gala is held on the first Monday of May in NYC at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year, the head-turning event takes place on May 6, 2024.<\/p>\n

So, Bravoholics will have to\u00a0keep a\u00a0look out on May 6 to see if Andy and SJP will be at this year\u2019s Met Gala. By the way, this year\u2019s theme for the event is Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, while the dress code is The Garden of Time.
